About Us
We have a range of facilities available to members and non-members, there are only a few facilities that you have to be a member to use, however the Centre Bar is for members only.
Morton Manor Community Centre, known as The Manor is a listed building of which the exterior has retained its historical appearance dating back to 1780. The Manor is situated on the outskirts of Carlisle, three miles from the City Centre on the A595.
We also have a multitude of activities held in our adjoining park.
Facilities
A large Centre, with gym, cafeteria, members bar, Library Link, and on-site Nursery. Rooms to hire for occasions. Activity programme offered includes parent toddler group, fitness activity, senior citizens club.

We have various rooms throughout the centre which can accommodate between 2 and 150 delegates.
The training suite/studio which can accommodate up to 30 delegates, includes rail presentation system that includes flip charts, whiteboards, TV presenter, overhead projector, and screen or a power point projector. We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. The manor is also fully accessible for disabled users.
Staff at the Manor offer:
A fully inclusive training package.
- Rooms available 30 minutes prior to booking time.
- Rooms and equipment checked prior to booking time.
- Staff always on hand to help with any additional enquiries.
- Training suite and large hall have fitted induction loops, portable loops available * from reception.
- All refreshments and meals freshly cooked and served in the conservatory unless otherwise specified.
- We would be delighted to show you our facilities and discuss details of your training or conference requirements.

We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere in pleasant surroundings.
A range of menus are available and all food is freshly made. The staff at the Manor wish your visit to the Centre to be as enjoyable as possible and are always available to discuss details of your function requirements and to show you around our facilities.
Our two main function rooms can accommodate between 50/150 guests. The main function room has a light and airy atmosphere and has views which overlook the surrounding parkland, a dance floor, bar and room for entertainment of your choice. The function room has a fitted Induction Loop and the Centre is fully accessible for disabled users.
The manor can cater for weddings, funerals, christenings, family celebrations, and children’s parties.

The Leisure Suite at Morton Community Centre is very user friendly. Pay as you go, keep fit and enjoy!
Over 16 only, all users must sign a disclaimer and will be offered a full induction, if wanted.

Over 16’s can use the Leisure Suite on completion of a Multigym Disclaimer form and will be offered an induction if they have not used a gym before.
No outdoor shoes to be worn in the leisure suite.
No bags or clothes to be left in the leisure suite, they are unsightly and dangerous.
Inductions
Inductions are available to anyone who has never used a gym before or wants a personal fitness programme to follow. Our centre fitness instructor is available by appointment only. Contact reception to make an appointment.

The Centre has a Bar available to all members ofMorton Manor Community Centre.
Drinks available in the bar include: Beer, Lager, Wines, Spirits and Soft Drinks
The bar also has a wide screen plasma TV in the lounge.
The bar is also used for functions that take place in the large and small hall e.g. birthday parties etc.
The Bar Lounge is a conservatory that over looks Chances Park.

Morton Creche is for girls and boys who are either 2 or 3 years old. Our pre-school nursery is for girls and boys who between 2 years and school age.

All the sunbeds at the centre are 10 minute fast tanning beds, each sunbed is situated in its own private room with fully lockable doors.
